The subject of solar returns seems to be increasing in interest for both tropical and sidereal astrologers. In the past few months I've been working with solar and lunar returns quite a bit. I've never felt satisfied by the technique, and have found other methods that seemed more reliable. I was introduced to solar returns literally decades ago, read Bradley/Allen's book and Fagan's, so I am not exactly a newbie. In it he is using tropical solar returns, although he does briefly compare the two methods of calculating the moment of the return, using either the Sun's longitude based on its tropical position or based on its sidereal (or some would say precession corrected) position. I recently found Anthony Louis's book The Art of Forecasting using Solar Returns.
